Cow Loop, Southern Vancouver Island
May 15-18, 2026
Our first Multi Day Tour for the year is May 15-18, 2026.
This tour will take us along moderate trails out to the Brentwood Bay Ferry and across to Mill Bay where we then ride along rolling hills through the spectacular Cowichan Valley. Our first night will be in a quaint Inn in the valley. After a great breakfast, we will pick up the famous Cowichan Valley Rail Trail and head to Lake Cowichan. After exploring the cute community and having a nice dinner on the lake, we ride to our second nights accommodation and prepare for the next days awesome journey.
Our next day consists of mostly gravel roads around the Lake where we will see beautiful views of one the prettiest Lakes in BC. Stopping at points of interest will make this portion of the adventure approximately 75 kms.
After a refreshing evening and nights sleep back at our hotel, we'll head out on the South side Cowichan Valley Trail with stops at Skutz Falls and pass over several Trestles including the most visited, Kinsol Trestle. After riding around Shawingan Lake, we head back to the Brentwood Ferry and Victoria via the Lochside Trail.
This journey is approximately 270 kilometers with an overall elevation gain of 2500m. It includes 50/50 gravel and road. It is classified as a moderate route but experience and confidence are required to ensure the best trip ever.
